| Is Google what George Orwell was afraid of back in 1949 when he published Nineteen Eighty-Four? |
| So I bought a new phone (2011)! very exciting.... a samsung galaxy nexus
(with rogers) and its a Google phone....whaaaat? Google knows what you are looking at on youtube. Knows what your email contains.. gmail. Knows where you are if you are using location services. Knows what you search on the internet. Google Play uploads all your music so they know what you are listening to. Between Google and Facebook (dont get me started on Facebook) they know where you are, what you like, who you talk to... We don't have a dictatorship military state like Orwell described... no... we actually embrace the overlord. It helps us in our daily lives... "google it".We pay millions in advertising on the site. Google is a business; remember... you are not their client. |
